FEATURE DEEP DIVE

Infrastructure as code, AI agents, and a developer experience customers pay for

A 65-resource OpenTofu/Terraform provider and a 420-tool MCP server for AI agents both speak MicroVMs, images and connectors as of the v3 contract, alongside instances, VPC networking and Kubernetes. Plus git push-to-deploy with zero-downtime rollouts and PR previews. The API, provider and MCP server ship in lockstep.

01

Infrastructure as Code

The whole platform, declared in HCL and converged with tofu apply.

65 resources

Instances, VPCs, security groups, Kubernetes, databases, load balancers, DNS, VPN, S3, MicroVMs and catalog data sources, with full CRUD and import.

Reference-driven

Normal Terraform references between resources, so one resource can depend on another and converge in order.

Kept in lockstep

A manifest-driven CI gate holds the API, the provider and the MCP server at parity across 973 endpoints. No endpoint ships uncovered.

location_id everywhere

The user API, OpenTofu provider and MCP server all address a hypervisor group as location_id now; hypervisor_group_id still works as an alias for existing code. The admin API keeps the old name.

02

AI agents & assistant

The conversational path to the same API, safe by construction.

MCP server, 420 tools

Remote and stateless: point any MCP client at it with a Bearer token. 344 user tools plus 76 curated admin tools, including the MicroVM v3 family.

Safe by construction

Confirm-gated destructive operations, idempotency keys so retries never double-create, and async task convergence.

AI assistant in the panel

Customers provision in plain language through guided chat. Guardrails include egress redaction, prompt-injection framing and scoped knowledge.

03

Git push-to-deploy

Customers ship code, not servers.

Four providers

GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Gitea, with private repos over tokens or deploy keys. Every push to the branch deploys.

No Dockerfile needed

Nixpacks or Railpack detect the language and build a container image. Builds run isolated, or offload to dedicated build hosts.

Zero-downtime + previews

New container up and healthy before traffic switches, automatic HTTPS, and every PR gets its own preview environment with status posted back.

04

The toolbox

The rest of the automation surface.

Docker manager

One-click apps from a community catalog: Grafana, WordPress, Uptime Kuma and more, with env vars and port mapping.

User scripts & cloud-init

Bash, Python and PowerShell injected at deploy time. Save reusable scripts and apply them to any new instance.

Projects & webhooks

Group resources into projects, and subscribe HMAC-signed webhooks to lifecycle events with per-subscription delivery history.
